I grew up in Farmington and graduated from Farmington East High School in 1982. I graduated from Western Illinois University with a degree in Business Management. If future years, I went on to earn three post-graduate Education degrees from WIU as well. I was a professional District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America and a Training Manager for Pizza Hut before beginning my career in education. I taught special education, business classes, have been a district technology director, and have served in multiple administrative roles. I retired in June of 2020 as a public-school Superintendent.
I have two sons, Steve who is married to Maggie and resides in Farmington, and Zec who attends WIU studying law enforcement. I love God, have a Great Dane named Jax, enjoy fishing, and recently purchased my first motorcycle.
I ran for the council because of a desire to give back to the city that has given so much to me and my family.
