Reed Park
Located in the central part of town, it was named in honor of Dr. James M. Reed, who served as the local doctor for 57 years until his death in 2013. The park has limited playground activities, but with its large gazebo and central location, it serves as the site for numerous events such as the Memorial Day services, 4th of July celebration, and the annual Christmas tree lighting. It is a major destination stop on the Spoon River Drive, held the first two weekends in October. It is also the site of various veteran memorials.
