Welcome to the homepage of the Farmington City Council where you'll find information regarding who is currently serving you as council men and women.
The city council currently meets on the first and third Mondays of every month at the city building. Meeting times may change. Please contact the city if you have any questions about attending a council meeting.
All residents are welcome to come to city council meetings and are encouraged to speak with your alderman about any concerns you may have.
Kent Kowal - Mayor
Kent is retired from the Bank of Farmington where he served as President from 1971 until 2012.
For his education, Kent has earned a Bachelors of Science in Education that he received from Western Illinois University and also a Masters in Education from Bradley. Kent is married to his wife, Kathy. They have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
Nancy Reed - City Clerk
Nancy has lived in Farmington since 1977 when she married Wayne Reed. Together they have raised 2 beautiful daughters, Renae and Cassie. They, along with their husbands and Nancy's 5 grandchildren also live in Farmington.
2017 marks Nancy's second term as City Clerk. As the City Clerk, her duties include taking the minutes for the city council and executive session. Nancy also signs many documents that go through the city office. Nancy enjoys er job as city clerk. For her it has been a wonderful experience working with so many amazing and caring people who love the city.

Kenn Stufflebeam - Alderman - Ward 2
Kenn is a life-long resident of Farmington and former Mayor. He is a FEHS Class of 1985 Alumni and completed his Bachelors Degree at Quincy University in May of 1991. Mr. Stufflebeam is married to Anne Stufflebeam and has two children: Maredith, 18 and Alexis, 14. He is currently an employee with Cintas Corporation in sales.
June Whitmer - Alderman - Ward 3
Terry Dicks - Alderman - Ward 3
Terry is a lifelong resident of Farmington with his wife of 44 years, Carol. Together, they have 4 sons, Trent, Brett, Scott and Chett. They also have 2 grandchildren. Terry is retired from Caterpillar Inc. where he spent 4 years as a machinist apprentice, was a machinist journeyman and also served in management. Terry went to Farmington Harris School, Chapman Junior High and Farmington East High School. Terry likes sports, fall and spring, golden retrievers and marriage. Terry dislikes tardiness, meetings, bills and cancer.
